As Software Test Engineer you are responsible for creating and executing manual and automated tests at the Product level. You will work alongside the product feature team to help develop and maintain high-quality product releases. You will work closely with the other members of the quality team developing test rigs and harnesses and will be the expert on your product area for the team. You will provide technical leadership and mentorship to other members of the team.

  • Create and design high-level test plans at the product level
  • Designs, executes, and directs in test strategies
  • Trains and provides technical leadership to the team
  • Conducts test cases, code reviews, and runs bug triage meetings
  • Creates test code, harnesses, and tests cases from a user story and epic at the product level
  • Create test plans covering security requirements
  • Create test plans covering performance requirements
  • Create easily reproducible defect reports
  • Responsible for adhering to established QA process and bug prioritization criteria
  • Active participant in feature definition and design
  • Knows the competitors in our space and can help make business decisions based on this knowledge

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree
  • US work authorization (Required)
  • 4+ years of experience creating test applications and/or automation frameworks
  • Experience designing and executing tests and test code at the feature level
  • Can program at least one language (Python, C#, Java, similar)
  • Strong understanding of Software testing life cycle
  • Experience testing firmware or embedded software (RTOS, Vxworks, etc)
