The PulseDrop is a pulse counting device for use with dry-contact/contact-closure outputs commonly found on legacy gas and water metering systems. These meters close a switch for brief intervals (i.e. pulse) corresponding to a specific amount or unit of the consumed utility. By counting these pulses the total amount and rate of consumption can be communicated wirelessly using LoRaWAN technology. The device can be installed on a variety of pulse meters types for large-scale monitoring.
